I realize this too.
I made a fresh fan page an I can post my articles there. The annoying fact is that I cannot share content directly from my fan page to my personal page either, there no option. Comparing to Microsoft and Google, Facebook is by far the more confusing and bad documented platform.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
